Long time between posts

I know it's been a long time since the last post, will try to catch up. On Sept 15th, I received a whirlwind visit from my long time friend Murry. It was a planned visit since he was attending a wedding in Vancouver, and decided to pay his ole friend Lou a visit while at the same time checkout what I've gotten myself into. After weeks of single mindedness, it was a welcome and much anticipated arrival. Brenda and I then decided that when Murray's one day visit was over, I would hit the road back to Ontario in order to wrap up some loose ends and more importantly, pick up the "crew". Hence I spent the week leading up to Murray's visit trying to get the boat boat ready for Brenda and Jack to join me. It was no small undertaking. Weeks of living like a man obsessed with this undertaking, (without regard for "appearances") had taken it's toll. I had tools, tools and more tools laying around everywhere, not to mention basic services in need of attention. At the end of the week, I looked around and thought, Brenda is going to take one look and this and say you're nuts if you think I'm going to live here, but this was as good as it was going to get, I got on the road back to Port Ryerse and my waiting crew. On arrival, I spent a few days decompressing from the trip, then set out to locate and purchase a small trailer to haul the rest of our "stuff" back to the boat. We spent 3 weeks packing, partying, saying goodbyes before we were ready to head back. Bob and Jo organized a farewell get together with all our "Port" friends as an official send off. This was "it". "On the road" We should have had a sign on the back of our rig " west coast or bust", this finally felt like the launch of our new adventure. Even though I had rolled past the landscape twice before, it was like viewing it with new eyes. Brenda was absolutely agog at the scenery, even Jack seemed excited at the prospect of every rest stop, probably for different reasons. We took our time and arrived on the coast 8 days later. Sorry no pics, someone left the camera behind (oops that was me).
